Away from the table Phil can be very nice. We have several mutual friends, although i would consider Phil more in the acquaintenance category with me rather than a friend. Years ago, early 90's Phil and his wife Kathy both came to Shawano/Keshena with their infant son and played poker with our regular Green Bay area group. I have also crossed paths with him many times at other tourneys and he always remembers me by name. A few years ago at Canterbury Park he was there with his mom, dad, and sister. He made a point to introduce me to all of them, However, i have also been at his table during tournaments - that is a totally different Phil.
